  • An OT is a treatment that focuses on helping people achieve independence throughout all their lives.
  1. People skills: you need to have people skills because you are going to be working with people all day. Also you need to have that skill because if a person is scared or is not cooperating then you will need to know how to handle that.
  2. You need to know your computer skills. Like X-rays, and doctor items.
  3. You need to be determined and a good worker. Never get angry with your patients they wont come back. Anger management skills.
  4. You need to be patient with your patients and your surroundings. Your patients may not heal as quick as you thought.
  5. You also need to be determined and with and just push through the day to be successful. This skill is very important.
